Dr.Abhay Daniel

I  received my MBBS - bachelor in medicine degree in 1997 and then  Doctor of Medicine (MD) doctorate degree in 2002 from a prestigious medical school, where  I graduated with distinction.  

I then completed my fellowship in prestigious Barbara Davis centre in Diabetes,  Denver, Colorado USA where I honed my clinical skills and developed a passion for endocrinology.  

I completed  my double specialist fellowship training in both General medicine and Endocrinology at Gold Coast and Royal Brisbane hospitals and was awarded fellowships in both specialties by Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2011.  

I have been practicing as a specialist in Endocrinology and General medicine since 2012 on the Gold Coast.  

I am currently practicing at John Flynn and Pindara private hospitals in specialist rooms and offer both inpatient and outpatient services in Endocrinology and General medicine. I have visiting rights at both the hospitals as an Endocrinologist in full time private practice.  I have also started outpatient services in Ballina to cover the northern rivers NSW patients.

I work collaboratively with my colleagues in a dedicated multidisciplinary team across public and private hospitals including endocrine/ thyroid surgeons, pituitary and vascular surgeons, ophthalmologists, diabetes educators and general practitioners and have an excellent rapport with colleagues.

I can help and support you in your journey through your care in a holistic, compassionate and comprehensive  way.  

I am available for consultation 7 days a week for inpatients care and 5 days a week for outpatients in my rooms at John Flynn and Pindara private hospitals. My team is able to process your referrals through your GP expeditiously as we have a full time administration team.

I have an interest in General medical condition where your are uncertain of your medical condition and may need referral to multiple specialists you can consult your GP if appropriate to refer to a General specialist physician who deals with many varied conditions. You may still subsequently require a referral to another specialist but on many occasions it can be avoided saving you cost and time. Please ask your GP if you are appropriate to consult a General Specialist physician. I have excellent experience in treating arthritis and gout but you may still need to consult a rheumatologist if necessary.
